An attempt to arrest a Taliban Commander Mulla Akbar failed when Police party went to arrest him was made hostage in a Madarsa cum Masjid in Katti Pahari area of Karachi. The SHO along with his raiding team was made hostage as the ANP terrorist present in the area start aerial firing and damaging police vehicles parked in the area. The police team was released after one and a half hour in result of dialogues between higher governmental officials and ANP leadership controlling the area.
