On 18th October 2011, 4th Anniversary of 18th Oct attack on convey of Benazir Bhutto at Karsaz, Karachi, armed workers of PPP's student wing PSF brutally beat a journalist of Express News covering the ceremony at Karsaz. The PSF workers were beating a Government Officer and when the News Reporters reached them they attacked him and beat him. Union of Journalists and Journalist community of Karachi strongly condemned this attack and demand PPP leadership to control its militant wings from attacking media persons. Previously PPP Senior Minister Zulfiqar Mirza had also attacked GEO News reporter Shoaib Burney and looted him. Police denied to launch an FIR as Zulfiqar Mirza was Home Minister Sindh at that time.
