Karachi: Clash was reported in the area of Defense Phase-II near Baloch Colony, two groups of Awami National Party (ANP) opened fire on each other as result one young-man and seven people injured. After the clash dead body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital, armed men rushed to hospital and fired outside the emergency ward of JPMC. Miscreants tyrannized the doctors, nurses and other hospital staffs as the result panic triggered tension in the hospital. Rangers and police nabbed seven rioters and four injured men from the hospital. Gangsters of ‘Owais group’ and ‘Abul Samad group’ of ANP charged on each other; 20 years old Abul Qadeer S/O Mohammad Anwar gunned down while 17 years old Imran S/O Abul Rauf, 25 years old Farman Ali S/O Mir Ali, 25 years old Mohammad Elyas S/O Farzand, 25 years old Owais S/O Najeeb ullah, 27 years old Abdul Rauf Sherani S/O Mohammad Ghaffur and 25 years old Abdul Wahid S/O Mohammad Ghaffur got injury in the armed clash. Afterwards, Rangers and Police reached the hospital and they have arrested the miscreants after which situation came under control. According to the sources of JPMC, armed men followed injured men and reached at hospital, opened fire outside the emergency ward and triggered the panic in the hospital. ANP activist, Abdul Samad told that Owais and his brother Noman want to grab his shop and 8 month ago Owais and his group attacked on Abdul Samad group. Abdul Samad group lodged FIR against Owais group in the police station of Baloch Colony, afterwards Owais threatened him to withdraw FIR. On the other side, Owais and his injured cousin Farman told that extortionists of Adbul Samad group [Abdul Samad, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Razzaq, Saqib Pasha and Ali Hassan] opened fire on them. Police is investigating the case.
While talking to the media, Dr Seemin Jamali, who is in charge of the emergency department, said that nobody was killed or hurt in the incident which took place outside the hospital’s emergency department. She said that more law enforcers should be deployed at the hospital. No case has been registered as yet.
