ISLAMABAD: Three activists of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) stormed into Aabpara police station, attacked a police official, thrashed him and ripped off his uniform as he had arrested an activist of PTI involved in damaging public and private property during September 21 riots, police said.
The police have arrested the three activists for attacking the cop and registered FIR (No 404). The FIR said that the Aabpara police had arrested a miscreant identified as Ehtasham, involved in September 21 riots, adding in the meantime, three persons - Khurram Nawaz, Amer Mughal and Saeed - stormed into the police station and started thrashing Head Constable Fayyaz (who had arrested the miscreant) and tore his uniform. The attackers introduced themselves as activists of PTI, threatened the police personnel of dire consequences if the miscreant was not released.
The matter was forwarded to the SHO who ordered to arrest them and to register FIR against them to deal according to the law with them.
