PTI intra-party poll: Five PTI women complain of rigging in polls

20-11-2012
ISLAMABAD: While 31,000 members voted in the Islamabad PTI intra-party elections, five women have also complained about what they call “enormous irregularities and rigging”. In a joint letter dated Nov 19, 2012 to the party’s Chief Election Commissioner Hamid Khan Advocate, they demanded that the elections be declared null and void today, Nov 20, Tuesday, or they would be left with no option but to seek redress through all legal avenues. They say names of almost 12,500 registered PTI women members were missing from the voters’ lists. More evidence is being documented and would be presented in due course of time. Nafeesa Khattak chief of PTI women wing  confirmed that she had sent a complaint to the party high command saying that it was first time that a party was holding intra-party election therefore there were a few loopholes which have to be overcome.
