BHAKKAR - Hundreds of PTI office-bearers including Youth Wing Bhakkar President Farhan Nisar has quit the party as a protest against Imran Khan’s “arrogant” cousins from Niazi family who allegedly humiliate party workers.
Farhan Nisar resigned from the party office and said that the PTI was ignoring the activists and not giving importance to them. He said that their grievances were not conveyed to the party leadership. He said that Niazi family members talk humiliatingly about his ancestors and called the party workers rental ones and treat them with arrogance.
He said that he had devoted himself for the party in spite of being a student of ACCA but the Niazi family had caused a rift in the party. Likewise, hundreds of PTI leaders and members resigned from the basic membership of the party to express solidarity with Dr Nisar, the former district organiser of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Bhakkar. Nisar who worked hard to introduce and organise PTI in district Bhakkar, expressed his disappointment over control of Niazi family over the party.
The hundreds of party men were of the view that the PTI had become Niazi party now in district Bhakkar. The PTI was aimed at eliminating feudalism, ethnic hatred, discrimination but now it had forgot its manifesto, they said.
“The devotion of sincere workers has not been taken into account by the high command when the situation brought in their notice therefore we have decided to quit the party,” they said. However, PTI district leader Farooq Abbasi totally denied the allegations and the reports about embezzlement of PTI funds.
