On Jan 6th, known social media activists of a political organization planned to set a twitter trend on controversy about a sex-tape of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, daughter of PML-N head Nawaz Sharif. According to the plan, blame had to put on MQM that MQM got that video. The intent was to use MQM as their shield and gain maximum benefit out of their activity. According to sources, undisciplined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cyber geeks had immaturely leaked the story and claimed in one to one conversation that they had got the video tape of Maryam Nawaz.
The hashtag of #MaryamNawazTape could only trend in Karachi but badly defused when their plan was timely countered by MQM activists.

Further she bashed Awab Alvi and Arif Alvi, said “PTI social media team should be dissolved if Alvis can not control their trolls”. In past, Imaan Mazari has also faced the bashing of PTI trolls.
