Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intra-party election took a dramatic turn on Thursday when its candidate for the central president Omar Sarfaraz Cheema filed a petition against Javed Hashmi in the Election Commission.
Cheema, stating Javed Hashmi physically and mentally unfit, pleaded the commission to hold him (Hashmi) disqualified. He further said that Hashmi had no proved himself ‘sadiq’ and ‘ameen’ yet.
Cheema said that Hashmi had also not cleared himself in Asghar Khan case.
