Karachi: Reports are surfacing that the power of Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) is being handed over to Karachi Rangers; according to the sources, the process of power shifting is going on obscurely.
PPP-led Sindh government will support the process to shift complete authorities of CPLC to Rangers (Karachi). Sources added more that the CPLC chief, Ahmed Chinoy is likely to be dismissed from his portfolio and Rangers authorities will take over CPLC.
Internal sources have revealed that Ahmed Chinoy is being threatened by unknown persons and all of his movements are being tracked by agencies. The major cause of Chinoy’s dismissal will be his pro-MQM stance.
