کراچی: نیشنل ڈیٹا رجسٹریشن اتھارٹی(نادرا) نے وزیر اعلیٰ سندھ کے حلقہ پی ایس29 خیرپورکی سنسنی خیز جانچ پڑتال کی رپورٹ الیکشن ٹریبونل کراچی میں پیش کردی ہے۔

نادرا رپورٹ کے مطابق مجموعی طور پر133پولنگ اسٹیشنوں کے86ہزار94ووٹ جانچ پڑتال کے لیے نادرا کو بھیجے گئے تھے اور نادرا رپورٹ میں انکشاف کیاگیاہے کہ13ہزار368ووٹ جعلی ہیں جن کی کاؤنٹر فائل سے تصدیق نہ ہوسکی جبکہ56ہزار79 ووٹ کی ناقص سیاہی کے استعمال، نامکمل انگوٹھوں کے نشان اور غلط شناختی کارڈ کے اندراج کی وجہ سے تصدیق نہیں ہوسکی ہے، صرف 16 ہزار 647ووٹوں کی تصدیق ہوئی ہے ۔

2013ء کے عام انتخابات میں اس حلقے سے وزیر اعلیٰ سندھ کامیاب ہوئے اور ان کے قریب ترین حریف ن لیگ کے سید غوث علی شاہ رہے ،جنھوں نے وزیر اعلیٰ سندھ سید قائم علی شاہ کی کامیابی کو الیکشن ٹربیونل میں چیلنج کیاہے۔

Peshawar: Allegations are flying thick and fast that a family member of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) has influenced the final decision to appoint a person of suspect credentials as Vice Chancellor at University of Agriculture Peshawar.

At least one source in the provincial government (name kept anonymous on purpose) has confirmed severe violation of merit in this regard in which an alleged forger, who granted fake admissions and degrees, is now the final choice of Vice Chancellorship of the university by KPK government.

According to the information received by Saach.TV, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) Pervez Khattak appointed Dr M Afzal as an interim vice chancellor of the University of Agriculture Peshawar for the six months period. Meanwhile, a search committee was formulated to find the most suitable person for the job. The search committee submitted the report in which top of the list was Professor Zahoor Sawati – Pride of Performance 2013 – followed by Professor Malik Arshad and Dr Afzal. But in reality Dr Afzal would probably stand last among 80 full professors as he was not qualified for Meritorious Professorship.

The official claimed that Dr Afzal is a very controversial figure and his career is littered with unseemly scandals and accusations of misconduct. Whereas Professor Zahoor was the senior most expert of his field and introduced new weed technology in KPK which ultimately revolutionized the cultivation of the wheat crop.

The source claimed that Ishaq Khattak, son of CM Khattak is hugely interested in getting Dr Afzal settled as vice chancellor. Source revealed that another famous university in Peshawar (name of the institute kept anonymous on purpose) had the vice chancellor appointed in previous government’s period. But after he made contact with the chief minister’s son, his removal was postponed.

However, Dr Afzal has other friends too. Some attribute that a close friend of the CM in Income Tax Department backed him, while others believe that the then Additional Chief Secretary made it possible.

The scandals that are being talked about in the KPK include bribery of 200,000 rupees from the female owner of a private college in Islamabad to offer fake admissions and degrees for its students. Other favours asked from the female were reported to the university, Governor KPK and Intelligence Bureau (IB).

There is also the case of Abdul Latif, a secretary, who was once facing serious inquiry for issuing a fake degree to himself as Assistant Controller. Latif’s apology for the crime done is now part of official record. However, the final verdict of the case is yet to be announced by the syndicate as competent authority. Then there is the charge of misleading Controller of Examination into issuing a bogus degree to some Ms Nadia Malik.

Another source (name kept anonymous on purpose) who remained supervisor of both Dr Afzal and Professor Zahoor, told Saach.TV’s correspondent that “Dr Afzal is not an eligible person in any possible sense to be the Vice Chancellor. He is more like a thug. I have personally caught him and his associate – Abdul Latif – red handed. The reason I could not fire them was that they were gazetted officers. Technically I had no authority of firing them rather the appropriate authority was the Syndicate. However, I confirm that Dr Afzal was involved in awarding more than 60 fake admissions. Dr Afzal has been investigated by IB and NAB for receiving money from a female college owner and later in moral misconduct.”

Replying to a question, source said “I would rather not comment on how Dr Afzal managed to become the vice chancellor. But the strong belief is about the involvement of CM’s son on Dr Afzal’s appointment.”

Saach correspondent received no response at all when tried to contact administration of University of Agriculture Peshawar on its official numbers. PTI KPK officials also did not entertain our correspondent over phone call when approached.


Procedure for the appointment of VC at University of Agriculture Peshawar

Appointment of vice chancellor is purely based on CM’s advice. Summary of appointment is first sent to Governor KPK who holds customary authority of the approval. Governor sends it back to CM. CM sends it to Chief Secretary who forwards it to the Secretary Agriculture. Secretary Agriculture issues the final notification of the appointment.

Pervez Khattak likely to desert PTI for PML-N

NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) leaders Afrasiab Khattak and Mian Iftikhar Hussain claimed that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) belonged Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak is making forward block in his own political party and willing to join Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

Mian Iftikhar claimed that CM Pervez Khattak is building forward block in PTI and Khattak is willing to fly towards Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

Awami National Party (ANP) prominent leaders Afrasiab Khattak and Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that appropriate direction to move on is still undecided of those who used slogan for ‘change’.

Afrasiab Khattak alleged that PTI fails to meet public expectations as incharge of CM camp is a nominated candidate of NA-5 constituency and he will contact Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) on the issue.

Afrasiab confirmed the initiation of seat adjustment talks with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) in upcoming by-election.

Former provincial information minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that Daud Khattak will candidate from ANP in by-election.

Mian Iftikhar claimed that CM Pervez Khattak is building forward block in PTI and Khattak is willing to fly towards Pakistan Muslim PiLeague Nawaz (PML-N).

Former provincial minister alleged that Khattak is deputing his ‘beloved’ government employee in by-polling event which came under category of pre-polling rigging.

It is pertinent to note, PTI belonged Pervez Khattak faced rage of Imran Khan on some misconduct in past as it consume governmental assets for reaching a valima ceremony which finally resulted as restriction of helicopter usage completely.

On second time, Pervez Khattak avoided Imran Khan’s instructions to leave his party post as he is serving as government post of chief minister in KPK, however, Khattak refused to leave PTI post.

PTI’s U-Turn: Didn’t promise to turn CM house into a library or institute

Chief Minister Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Parvez Khattak, has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf did not promise to turn CM House into a library or educational institute. However after forming government we will ask the federal government to turn the Governor House KPK into a library or an institute. He further said that provincial government cannot shoot down drones; it is in the parameters of federal government.

As his fifth promise, the PTI chief said that he will protect taxpayers’ money and will make sure that it is not spent on governor and CM houses. “We will break walls of these palaces after assuming power and will build libraries and schools instead,” he added.

ISLAMABAD: Feeling clearly upset over Nawaz Sharif-led PML-N’s changing tone and tenor towards Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan – SSP), the central leadership of ASWJ has reminded Shahbaz Sharif that he owes his present chief ministership to none other than the Sunni Deobandi religious party which had withdrawn its candidate in his favour from PP-48 Bhakar-II to ensure his election as a member of the Punjab Assembly in June 2008.

Visibly offended over the PML-N spokesman Pervaiz Rasheed’s recent statement that he hardly knew about the existence of a party with the name of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, ASWJ’s central secretary general Dr Khadim Hussain Dhillon has advised him to better check with his boss, Shahbaz Sharif, on whose request Maulana Mohammad Ludhianvi had withdrawn his party’s candidate [Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid] in Mian Sahib’s favour to pave the way for his unopposed election as a member of the Punjab Assembly in the June 2008 by-election.

Shahbaz Sharif was elected unopposed from PP-48 (Bhakar-II) on June 2, 2008 after the remaining 17 candidates in the run were made to withdraw from the race. The Bhakar seat had actually been won by an independent candidate, Saeed Akbar Niwani, in the February 18, 2008 elections. He had retained the PP-49 seat and vacated the PP-48 seat after joining the PML-N. Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who could not take part in the February elections after being disqualified by the Lahore High Court, eventually became the provincial chief executive on the same seat on June 8, 2008.

Giving details to The News of the 2008 understanding between ASWJ and the PML-N, Khadim Dhillon said: “Our candidate from PP-48 was Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid, the president of the Bhakar chapter of the ASWJ. Of the 18 candidates in the run, 16 had been made to withdraw by the local administration [which was under the command of Chief Minister Dost Mohammad Khosa]. Those left in the field were Shahbaz Sharif and Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid who had refused to withdraw from the race. As the by-election loomed, Shahbaz Sharif approached Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi with a request to withdraw his candidate in his favour. For further talks, a six-member PML-N delegation consisting of Sanaullah Khan Masti Khel, Ikramullah Niazi, Khawaja Ahmed Hassan, Zafarullah Dhada, Afzal Khan Dhada and Najeebullah Khan formally called on Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid at his seminary (Jamia Siddiqia) in the Panj Garan area of the Bhakar district a day before the by-election. They formally requested Maulana Ludhianvi and Maulana Khalid on behalf of Shahbaz Sharif to pave the way for his unopposed election to ensure the beginning of a new chapter of friendship and amity between PML-N and the ASWJ. Our leadership subsequently decided to oblige Mian Sahib by withdrawing its candidate as a goodwill gesture”.

Approached by The News, Maulana Abdul Hameed Khan gave further details of the PML-N and the ASWJ détente which led to his withdrawal in favour of Shahbaz Sharif. “I am extremely hurt for having sacrificed my candidature and facilitated the election of someone who has no regard for his benefactors from the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat. One feels sorry to say that the PML-N leadership has not only disowned its benefactors but also launched a tirade against them in the news and print media which is quite painful. Let me tell you frankly that it was actually Shaukat Javed, the then Inspector General of the Punjab Police who had first approached Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and arranged his meeting with Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore shortly before the Bhakar election. During the meeting, Maulana Ludhianvi had called me and handed over his phone to Shahbaz Sharif. It was then that Mian Sahib made me a personal request for withdrawal in his favour.”

Maulana Abdul Hameed Khan continued: “A six-member delegation of PML-N came to see me at Jamia Siddiqia Panj Garan in Bhakar a day before the election where Maulana Ludhianvi and other leaders had finally agreed to support Shahbaz Sharif. Immediately afterwards, the PML-N delegation and the leadership of the ASWJ went to the court of the district and sessions judge (Bhakar) where I formally withdrew my candidature. Sanaullah Khan Masti Khel then called Shahbaz Sharif and congratulated him for his unopposed election. He also made Mian Sahib say thanks to me on telephone. I had met Shahbaz Sharif only once since he became the chief minister. The meeting was held in Lahore where he thanked me for my sacrifice and told me that the leadership of the two parties should constantly stay in touch”.

Earlier, PML-N spokesman Pervaiz Rasheed had strongly refuted reports of a possible seat adjustment deal with the ASWJ in the coming general elections, saying his party had neither sought nor seeks the support of any extremist group or party in the polls. Although Pervaiz sticks to his ‘official stance’, Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi had reminded him that besides paving the way for Shahbaz Sharif’s unopposed election from Bhakar, the PML-N and ASWJ had jointly contested the March 2010 by-election on another Punjab Assembly seat PP-82 (Jhang) that was won by PML-N’s Azam Chela. Maulana Ludhianvi added while referring to the PML-N leadership: “They are weak people who can’t stand up to pressures. They lack the ability to stay firm in difficult times. They deem it convenient to change their stance under changing circumstances”.

According to Dr Khadim Dhillon, instead of disowning his benefactors in the ASWJ and launching a tirade against the party, Shahbaz Sharif should have been grateful to people like Maulana Ludhianvi and Maulana Hameed for whatever they did for him. “Shahbaz Sharif had given us a commitment at the time of the Bhakar by-election that he would not repeat past mistakes. But it seems that he has not only forgotten his previous mistakes but is bent upon committing more. But let me make it clear to all and the sundry that we are here to exist as a reality. We have thousands of voters in almost every constituency of South and Central Punjab and the PML-N leadership is destined to knock at our doors once again when the elections come”.

Lahore: Shahbaz Sharif has been challenged in Punjab High Court on the basis that he has kept 18 ministries to himself. 

Naushab Khan Advocate has submitted a petition in Lahore High Court in which he has made Chief Minister Punjab's principal secretary the opposite party. It has been said in petition that Chief Minister has not been able to fulfil his constitutional responsibilities due to his act and the recent drug reaction in Punjab Institute of Cardiology is an open proof of that.

Lahore: Punjab government's Laptop scheme also seems to go down in the soil as the 'Sasti Roti Scheme' did. Even after the elapsing of 3 months after the announcement, no laptop has been given to anyone. The terms on which the laptops are to be given are continually changed and as a result students are unable to get any. On the other hand, it can be expected that these Rs 3.74 billion/- would also end in the hands of corrupt bureaucracy.

Lahore: A local court on Wednesday ordered police to lodge an FIR against former Punjab chief minister and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Dost Muhammad Khosa for his alleged involvement in disappearance of actress Sapna.

According to reports, a session court ordered SHO Race Course police station to register an FIA against the ex chief minister.

Heirs of  Sapna claimed that Khosa married Sapna and has a daughter from her. They accused Khosa of kidnapping Sapna along with her daughter.
