Jordan TV host set fires Israeli flag live on-air

A TV host in Jordan burned a paper Israeli flag live on air during a discussion on the ongoing Gaza campaign.

In a clip posted to YouTube by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Zoher Al-Azzeh burned the flag on Jordan’s 7 Stars TV while also calling for the US embassy in Jordan to be shut down, accusing America of using it as a “centre for spying”.

Describing the Israelis as “occupiers”, Al-Azzeh apologised to viewers for earlier having shown them graphic images of injured Palestinians, and then said: "For the sake of Palestine and its children, allow me to burn this filthy flag of the Zionist entity for the whole world to see", before holding what appears to be an A4 paper print-off of the Israeli flag and setting light to it with a cigarette lighter.

It takes a while for the paper to burn, during which the host adds: "The world should know that the Zionists are our enemies. They are criminal murderers and we must fight them.

“We must demand that all Arab peoples expel them from their countries, starting with Jordan.”

He concludes: “I spit on this flag!” but actually blows on it to try to fan the flames.

UN spokesman cries on camera over Gaza school attack

Chris Gunness, spokesman for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, was being interviewed by al-Jazeera Arabic on Wednesday about the shelling of one of the organisation's schools in Gaza, in which at least 15 people died and scores were injured. The school was crammed with families who had fled their homes after warnings from the Israeli military to leave or be bombed. The interview was one of dozens Gunness gave on the incident.

“It was a live interview, and I just about got through it, just about held it together,” Gunness, 54, told the Guardian. “But what really makes my heart burst is the suffering of children, and I was so moved by the appalling attack on the school in Jabaliya that I couldn't control myself any longer.”

He added, “if my tears focus attention on the wholesale denial of human dignity in Gaza, then I have no regrets.”

“My tears pale into insignificance compared to those of the people in Gaza, who are suffering intolerably,” he said. “But we have now reached a point of such profound tragedy that tears are more eloquent than words.”

The lionhearted Palestinian child roars against Israel even after severe bombing

Hundreds of Palestinian have been martyred by Israeli forces, but still they are courageous to tackle those butchers.

The lionhearted child asked Al-Qassam brigades and Palestinians, not to bow down before evil forces of Israel. The heroic child commanded fighters to rush against Israeli forces like a storm and reminded the importance of martyrdom in Islam.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced Friday as a day of mourning to show solidarity with people of Gaza, his office said in a statement on Thursday.

“Moreover, the Prime Minister has ordered to contribute one million dollars in UN flash appeal for Gaza Palestinians,” it said.

Pakistan demands ‘humanitarian pause’ in Gaza

Earlier today, Pakistan also called for an immediate end to the blockade of Gaza to allow humanitarian relief to reach Palestinians as the death toll in the besieged territory rose to more than 740.

The appeal came a day after Pakistan voted along with other UN Human Rights Council members to launch a probe into Israel's offensive in the territory, with rights chief Navi Pillay saying the Jewish state's military actions could amount to war crimes.

The 47-member council backed a Palestinian-drafted resolution by 29 votes, with Arab and fellow Muslim countries joined by China and Russia, plus Latin American and African nations. The United States was the sole member to vote against the resolution while the European countries abstained.

Israeli forces assaulted 19-years-old Israeli boy for protesting in the favor of Gaza

Hundreds of people gathered in Tel Aviv to protest against Israel’s military action in Gaza. They held banners, chanted slogans and called for dialogue in handling the current conflict.

The protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israeli slogans, denouncing the Israeli regime’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip.

At least 30 people have been arrested in violent clashes which erupted in the city of Haifa, northern Israel, between police and protesters outraged by Tel Aviv’s deadly war on the Gaza Strip.

Pakistan-based news agency, The News, has labeled Hammas as militant group in its front page of 14th July edition. Hammas is the freedom fighter group, which is retaliating the Israeli aggression on Gaza stripe.

Earlier, UK-based BBC had also portrayed Gaza’s Hammas as militants and tried to justify Israeli oppression against Palestine.

Anonymous is hacking Israeli Web sites in protest over Gaza

To protest what they call the “barbaric, brutal and despicable treatment of the Palestinian people,” hackers from the collective Anonymous have been attacking a number of Israeli Web sites, including Israel’s Foreign Ministry and the municipal Web site for Tel Aviv.

The group has also deleted the databases of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bank of Jerusalem, and leaked e-mail addresses and passwords for other sites.

The campaign began Thursday night with coordinated attacks on several Israeli sites, including the Israeli Defense Forces blog and a private Israeli surveillance and security company. By Friday, the group took credit for bringing down 600 Israeli sites, using the hashtag #opisrael to boast about their progress on Twitter.

In a statement, Anonymous said what spurred their campaign was an Israeli government threat to sever Internet and other telecommunications into and out of Gaza.

“We are ANONYMOUS and NO ONE shuts down the Internet on our watch. To the IDF and government of Israel we issue you this warning only once. Do NOT shut down the Internet into the “Occupied Territories”, and cease and desist from your terror upon the innocent people of Palestine or you will know the full and unbridled wrath of Anonymous.”

The group also provided a digital “Anonymous Gaza Care Package” allegedly containing tips on evading IDF surveillance, basic first aid and other information for Gazans.

The attacks themselves are relatively rudimentary — the group recruits Internet users to flood target Web sites with traffic until they crash — but they can prove difficult to thwart.

“The best the owner of a site under attack can hope for is to get between the targeted site and the attacking site,” writes the New York Times’ Nicole Perlroth.

“But blocking the attack is nearly impossible because of the innumerable sites on the Internet on which Anonymous can post their attack tools.”
