Former Sindh home minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader, Zulfiqar Mirza had disclosed in the assembly that the owner of Geo TV – Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman was raped by a hooligan in his childhood. Mirza said, a criminal belonging Dalmia – Karachi, Aaman Dalmia kidnapped Mir Shakeel when he was studying in San Patrick with Agha Siraj Durrani and Zardari. After abducting, Aaman Dalmia captured his nude photographs, blackmailed and raped him for a long time. Further Mirza warned Geo TV and Mir Shakeel to stop media trial against PPP; otherwise he would public all inappropriate photos of him.

Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Ismail has admitted in a private TV program that former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza has distributed 300,000 arms licenses to conduct “Mohajir-Genocide” in Karachi. After those threats from Mirza, specific ethnic-based people had been killed in Karachi after checking their identity cards.
27-09-2012 Lahore: Daughter of former Home Minister Sindh Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza, ‘Shezreh Mirza’ has revealed on social media site twitter that Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan phoned her father (Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza) and asked for the support for PTI’s Karachi convention. Shezreh posted the controversial tweets regarding PTI convention in Karachi. She mentioned Imran Khan’s handle in her tweet and asked Imran Khan to tell his supporters that he asked support from Zulfiqar Mirza for Karachi convention. Further she clarified that Khan and Mirza both did not meet with each other but on his behalf PTI’s London Coordinator Rabia Zia met Mirza in London and several times Khan phoned to Mirza and asked public support for his convention in Karachi. She added more that Khan asked her father for forty thousands (40K) people in Karachi convention. After the revelation of this interesting story, she faced abusive response from the PTI cyber team.

27-09-2012 Karachi: Government of Sindh has decided to withdraw all filed cases against the gangsters of banned organization, Peoples Amn Committee (PAC). Sindh government has issued the order of withdrawal of all cases against Uzair Baloch, Zafar Baloch, Taj Mohammad alias Taju, Habib Jaan and others. According to Police records, gangsters of PAC were involved in the cases of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, kidnapping for ransom, attack on police forces and other critical cases. Cases will be withdrawn in the stages. Uzair Baloch and 15 other men were named in the First Information Report 77/2012 that was filed at the Napier police station under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code that deal with attempted murder, causing hurt and mischief. Non-bailable warrants for the men were issued by the court on July 31. Warrants against Uzair Baloch & Co. have been issued ‘five times’, but law and enforcement agencies failed to arrest them. After meeting of President & Co-Chairman of PPP Mr. Asif Ali Zardari with Ex-Home Minister Sindh Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza at his resident, suddenly government of Sindh decided to withdraw all cases against high profiled gangsters of Amn Committee.
Zulfiqar Mirza and Fahmida Mirza diagnose with cancer, both are in US for chemotherapy Karachi: Former Home Minister of Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Mirza and his wife Speaker National Assembly Dr Fahmida Mirza, both are suffering from cancer. Dr Mirza and his wife Dr Fahmida, both are hospitalised in US. According to the closest source of the Mirza family, Mirza and his wife were not well since first week of August, later on family doctor advised them to go to United States for further treatment. Zulfiqar Mirza and Fahmida Mirza went to US along with their son, member of Sindh Assembly Hasnain Mirza, where different medical tests have been done. Sources said, Zulfiqar Mirza is suffering from initial stage of cancer and it is curable while Fahmida Mirza is in critical stage. It has been observed that suddenly, Zulfiqar Mirza had disappeared from the political mainstream. Younus Habib said, he supported Pakistan People's Party in 1993. Further he added, 5 lacs were sent to Aftab Khan Sherpao and Zulfiqar Mirza.

05-02-2012 Karachi: Government of Sindh has paid the electricity bill of Zulfiqar Mirza's house which was PKR 860,000 (8 lacs and 60 thousands). This bill was paid from the government treasury. Other than Zulfiqar Mirza government has also paid other ministers' bills. Government also gave some other ministers PKR 60,000 each for the renovation of their houses. Other ministers namely; PML-Q's minister Muhammad Ali Malkani, Muhammad Sheharyaar Khan Mehar and one of them belong to PPP, Minister Sharjeel Inaam Memon.
According to sources some armed men in the banned organization People's Amn Committee protest rally opened fire on Police when they were not allowed to head towards Bilawal House. This was blatant violation of law by the workers of Amn Committee. The situation got worse when these armed men of People's Amn Committee started harassing the common public and tried to loot them near I.I Chundigarh Road. Zafar Baloch, the central leader of PAC, has said that Lyari has been a peaceful area for quite some time but the representatives of Lyari in Sindh Assembly do not want that.
A mobster of Lyari Gang War, named Mohammad Ali alias Imran Gora was arrested by Site Police and recovered a Pistol, considerable amount of rounds and 1,174 kilograms of weed from him. The suspect is a member of a group of Lyari Gang war which comprises of 20 to 25 mobsters who mainly snatch and steal NATO containers. the group carries out its activities in the adjacent areas of Baldia Town,Site and Sher Shah. PPP workers triggered pandemonium at Oxford University during the lecture being delivered by Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, who were thrown out of the hall shortly after the uproar.
