Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was the chief guest of the rally organised by Awami Muslim League (AML) on Monday night. PTI leaders and workers have showed anger and reservations over attending Sheikh Rashid’s rally. They said, Sheikh Rasheed cannot gather crowd more than hundreds, so why did Imran attend his rally? The demanded first Sheikh should merge his party into Tehreek-e-Insaf then Khan could attend his rally.
Sources said, PTI’s vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi is unhappy over Khan’s alliance with Rashid and terms him as remnant of Musharraf.
He said Javed Hashmi, PTI’s president played key role in Khan-Rashid alliance.
On the other side, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has called for the meeting of its ‘political strategic committee’ on 16 August; Imran Khan, Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other leaders will attend the meeting. The main reason of this meeting to solve the internal rifts between party leaders.
