KARACHI: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan, on Thursday termed the Kamra base attack as reaction to a possible military operation in the North Waziristan agency, reports.
Speaking to media persons at Karachi airport, the cricketer-turned politician said “though, Pakistan army is planning a military offensive against Taliban and other militant groups in North Waziristan, today’s attack on Pakistani airbase might be its reaction from the militants.”
He said more than 40,000 people had come victims of the terrorism over the past eight years, adding that another operation in the tribal area would further instigate violence and extremism in the country.
