MQM’s Monitoring teams, which were established to overlook the collection of “Zakat and Fitra” have failed in making sure that the process goes smoothly without causing any concerns for the general public.
According to an official statement released from MQM’s Headquarter, few mischievous elements in MQM’s ranks are misusing the name of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and are forcefully receiving Zakat, charity and donation from people using party’s name.
According to MQM, black sheeps in the ranks of MQM are misusing the party’s name. They are forcefully receiving extortion in the name of Eidi, Fitra, Zakat etc.
After receiving complaints from businessmen and general public, MQM leadership has instructed approximately 10 Units/Sectors not to conduct any activity related to charity.
Units/Sectors have been assigned tasks to prepare the list of workers who are involved in such activities and who are reported of misusing the name of MQM. After finalization that list will be submitted to MQM’s head-quarter Nine Zero.
Most complaints were received from the areas of Gulbahar, Nazimabad, Landhi, Shah Faisal, Liaqtabad, Baldia, Orangi, Korangi, Malir and Ranchorlane sectors.
On the other hand, MQM’s Central Coordination Committee has advised masses to immediately inform the party about any such activities on MQM’s complaint cell established at MQM headquarter, Nine Zero, Azizabad on phone number 021-36808387, so that immediate action could be taken against them.
