When we get glimpse into past, PTI activists were campaigning against Hamid Mir and Geo TV on social media networks. They labeled Hamid Mir and Geo/Jang group as traitors for accusing DG ISI. Hamid Mir and Geo TV group were also pronounced as RAW agents by PTI cyber-workers due to close nexus with India. They accused that Jang group has been funded by UK and India.
According to Murtaza Ali Shah, PTI leaders and workers already declared Hamid Mir’s shooting incident as ‘drama’. Geo News anchor-journalists mainly Murtaza, Ahmad Noorani and Umar Cheema posted some taunting and sarcastic tweets against Imran Khan when he reached Hamid Mir’s resideny.
After the meeting, pro-PTI social media activists lambasted Imran Khan for visiting Hamid Mir at his residency. Some tweets are embedding below:
