Islamabad: The fake-degree issue is being faced by legislators of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The Supreme Court directed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Faisal Zaman to appear in the court on Monday in connection with his fake degree case. Faisal Zaman defeated Pir Sabir Shah in the May 11 elections.
In a writ petition Muhammad Irshad, Attaur Rehman and Muhammad Fahad stated that MPA Faisal Zaman had secured the Business Administration degree from the Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria was fake as it had already been declared fake by the Higher Education Commission.
Taking action on the allegation levelled against the MPA Faisal Zaman, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed the petitioners, plaintiff, officials of HEC and Election Commission of Pakistan to appear in the apex court on Monday.
The Lahore High Court on Friday extended interim bail of former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf (PTI) MNA Ghulam Sarwar Khan in fake degree case till July 05.
