ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Sunday arrested two persons from the venue of Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf (PTI) rally with a pistol and liqour.

One person arrested with a 9mm pistol, two magazines and 23 rounds of bullets, while and other was carrying two bottles of whiskey.

Thousands of protestors held a rally in Islamabad on Sunday against alleged rigging in last year's general election.

The demonstration was led by cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan as well as charismatic preacher Tahirul Qadri, who held an anti-corruption march last year prior to the May 2013 election that saw the country's first democratic handover of power.
